COHRE works to empower young people to improve and use their skills. Such as acting, film making and camera. Last year (2018-9, we engaged in film making of Beats in a Jungle a film that is now out. The film is about young woman’s fight to escape the obstacles in her life to achieve her life’s dream of becoming a dancer.
Community Empowerment Programs
Holding workshops and seminars,
Discussions about Topical issues e.g. health, stigma etc.
Collaboration with community leadership and finding out facts
Investigating Human right failures and documenting e.g. exclusions on education and health issues, domestic violence etc
Documentary and other video recording activities shared, discussed, and on point
Support and or aided individual projects for women and girls.
